Anna Doble is Digital Editor at the BBC World Service where she steers online, social, video and podcast content for English language programmes.

Before that Anna was Digital Editor at Radio 1 Newsbeat and Head of Online at Channel 4 News.   In her current role she has focused on developing the BBC’s reach in new digital audio markets, including India and sub-Saharan Africa.

She has pioneered digital communities around podcasts, including the award-winning Death in Ice Valley and 13 Minutes to the Moon.   Anna began her career as a news reader and reporter in commercial radio in Yorkshire before moving to London to join Independent Radio News.
