The Calvert Journal is a guide to the contemporary culture of the new east: eastern Europe, the Balkans and Central Asia. Having launched in 2013 with a Russia-only focus, the publication has broadened its scope to cover the entire new east region and over the past year has managed to successfully engage with a significantly larger and more diverse readership.
