Editor, Mobile and Online
BBC Scotland News

Matt Roper is the Mobile and Online editor for BBC Scotland News where he is responsible for its news output online and on social media.

He’s been at the BBC for two years, having previously been Digital Editor at STV - Scotland’s largest commercial broadcaster. Before that, he spent a decade as a news and features editor at national and regional newspapers in Scotland and England.

"I’m delighted to be judging this year’s Online Media Awards because it consistently showcases the best in the industry. Online content should be produced with the same levels of creativity, skill and craft as other media. I’m looking for high-quality work, that puts its audience first, and stands out from the rest."
